I seriously love a cold icy winter.. so much so I’ve even shared a little pic of me lovin’ the snow in London. This was from back in the day when I was young and carefree, living on a narrow boat, squatting on my wee slice of the London tow path.
Winter in the Northern Hemisphere was always my time to live like a bear, eat a little larger, hibernate in front of a fire and reflect on a wild summer and a litany of social faux pas to recall.
These memories stuck with me, even now that I live back home in Australia.
Our winters may not be as cold, but still cold enough to cuddle up with a nice cup of tea, hot toddies or red wine, which btw are all high in antioxidants (apparently), so stick with that! Our skin though... ohh it gets a smashing over these months, especially in roaring, chilly wind.
Our sassy survival tips for winter:
It’s not rocket science, your skin dehydrates faster in winter. Dehydrated skin is dry, parched and raging for moisture - so drink water and lots of it (but not so much that you dampen your digestion). A good amount of water will flush out those toxins to reveal a clearer head and clearer skin - hydration from within!
If the winter months are playing havoc with your skin and you need a quick fix on the run, think our Lime Caviar Body Moisturiser: Lime Caviar, coconut oil, mango butter and pumpkin seed oil all contain hydration properties. The citric acid in the lime caviar will turnover skin cells AND get some of that anti-aging action into your system - it’s all the rage!
