Dry or dehydrated skin can both benefit from a similar skincare regime. Whilst the causes are slightly different, dehydrated skin is the result of a lack of water content. Dry skin is generally a result of the outer layer of skin not producing or able to retain enough natural oils, called sebum.

What causes dry skin?

There are a few reasons that dry skin can occur and these can differ between individuals. A common factor with dry skin is that the sebaceous gland that produces sebum isn’t able to create enough natural oils to moisturise and hydrate the skin cells. Production of these oils from the sebaceous gland tend to decline with age too.

With dry skin you’re going to really want to make time for your skincare routine.

We are going to start this routine at the end of the day, because let’s be real. If you have cleansed and prepped your face before bed, there shouldn’t be any need for anything other than a splash of water on your face before your morning routine can start.

When it’s time to wash that makeup and all the dirt and grime you have collected throughout the day off, grab your Spearmint Face Cleanser. Our formula is designed with the aid of willow bark to give your skin a good clean without stripping it of any natural oils. Obviously, if you have dry skin - you need to hold onto whatever you got! With almond and jojoba oils, this cleanser will nourish your face with nutrients and mega moisture all at once.

About once a week, you’ll want to reach for your Pomegranate Face Exfoliant. The granulated bamboo will aid in removing dead skin cells without stripping away the moisture. The super pomegranate will boost your skin with nutrients.

Once your face is cleaned it’s time for your skin to lap up your Prickly Pear Face Cream. Boosted by coconut oil and mango seed butter this mega moisturising blend is quickly absorbed and shouldn’t feel greasy. The mango seed butter is amazing for the outer layer of your skin, which is exactly where you need some TLC.

At night is a perfect time to really boost your skin with your moisturising. You might want to apply twice before bed, so that while you rest, your body is doing amazing work rejuvenating your skin.

In the morning after you splash some water on your face or jump out of the shower be sure to reapply your Prickly Pear Face Cream. It absorbs fast and has a matte finish. Then follow through with your daily sunscreen and makeup routine.
